Melissa, LVT

Melissa, LVT

Melissa joined KAH's team in February of 2021. She has been in veterinary medicine for many years. A native Canadian, she obtained her veterinary technology degree from Ridgetown College in Ontario, Canada in 2001. Since then, she has had the opportunity to live in several states all over the U.S. Her previous veterinary experience includes several years working at a busy small animal hospital in Anchorage, Alaska.

At home, Melissa shares her life with her husband of almost 20 years, a son, and a daughter. Her family has a rescued Labradoodle named Molly, a water-loving Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Kody, a guinea pig named Pumpkin, and a canary called Singer. In her free time, Melissa enjoys DIY home projects, Christian ministry in the community, exercising, of course, spending time with her family.

Melissa always strives to make her patients feel as comfortable as possible by reducing any stress or nervousness during their visits to KAH. She especially has a soft heart for geriatric patients as her own dog, Molly, is approaching 15 years old.
