Kitty graduated from Ross Medical Education Center's Veterinary Assisting program and has been with Kalamazoo Animal Hospital ever since she graduated in May, 2016. In July, 2019, she was promoted to Lead Assistant.
Before becoming a veterinary assistant, in 2010, she graduated from KVCC with an art degree (which comes in very handy here at KAH - if you see something creative around the hospital, odds are good that Kitty had a hand in it) and spent 9 years in childcare before making a career change. She loves working with animals and has a soft spot for cats especially. She lives with her wife and 4 cats: Bruce, Harley, Arnold, and Grayson. She also occasionally fosters cats and kittens in need of homes. When not at work, she loves to work outside and do DIY projects around the house.
Kitty says, "My favorite thing about veterinary medicine is being able to help animals. I really enjoy making a difference for pets and their people."
