Although she’s a proud Buckeye, Dr. Kelly Flanagan is a native of the Kalamazoo area. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Hope College. In order to pursue her Master of Science degree in biology at Bowling Green State University, she relocated to Ohio. After 10 years, she moved back to southwest Michigan due to her love of the area, and close proximity to family. She has practiced at KAH since July, 2019.
Dr. Flanagan is married to Bill, an area curator at John Ball Zoo in Grand Rapids. They have two adventurous teenagers who love animals and the outdoors. They also have two dogs (May and Mimi), three cats (Sprinkles, Moki, and Toby), two snakes (Eggy and Princess), poison dart frogs, aquatic salamanders, and several fish. In her free time, she enjoys bird watching, knitting, and traveling.
